Mount Bistro, Mount Maunganui

I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for a long time, and so while we were in Nz I jumped at the chance to dine here! We all had 3 courses, and my first course was Blue cheese cheesecake. My mouth is watering just thinking about this amazing meal. What could be better than creamy blue cheese made into a cheesecake! with candied walnuts, onion jam...I was in HEAVEN. My main of lamb was also great but the dessert... (of course) was AMAZING! I had a Pomegranate tart with vanilla ice cream, pomegranate foam and it came with a black sesame seed tuille biscuit and fresh pomegranate segments. DIVINE. The seame seeds threw me off completely but their nutty flavour just went so well with the smooth creamy custard like tart on buttery pastry. Ahhhhh bliss.

(  plus a nice glassof sticky wine to wash it down of course)
