Antje 21

A couple of years back I made a cake for Antje's 18th...Western Bull dogs theme. She asked me to make another cake this year for her 21st... Same theme! I have to apologise for the crusty phone pics, ha! I did have so much fun piping her favourite players, Pop Art style! Im really keen to try a few different ideas piping like this... we will see!

Jane and Dean

I recently got to pop over to New Zealand to make a wedding cake for my little brother dean and his bride Jane. There's nothing better than making a cake for someone you love. Jane was such a beautiful bride. Unfortunately I do not have a photo of them on the day... I decided to leave that to the experts! But here's some pics of their cake instead:

How beautiful is that venue and colour scheme! It all just came together wonderfully!

I cannot welcome Jane into our family enough and I look forward to the future!

Birthday dumplings

It was my very good friends 21st birthday last week. (yes I have friends that are still having 21st's!! ha) I wanted to make him something special. He is such a beautiful person. A true gentlemen, artist, friend and dreamer. I love the way he sees the world. One of my favourite nights with him was when we got dumplings in China town. In fact speaking to everybody, it sounds like they have had almost the same experience! So dumplings it is!

I took a few step by step photos of the dumplings for you. Once dumplings were done I put them in an icing bowl that I painted and glossed up the whole cake, topped off with some fondant chop sticks and coriander! Enjoy!

 Happy birthday Adam!

Tuille, Bratwurst and a Chihuahua

I am so truly honoured to have been a part of a special wedding on the weekend. Held in Tallebudgera, on the Gold coast, it was absolutely stunning. Everybody jumped in and were a part of the day. The hall was decorated with balloons and streamers and an aisle made from raked leaves. The groom had specially sourced and prepped all the food, then on the day the groomsmen all jumped in and did the cooking. The bride looked too cute for words in her tuille dress and rockabilly heels, wearing her mothers necklace. Her mum made beautiful baked cheesecakes, cupcakes were brought by auntie and bratwurst cooked on the BBQ. They had their trusty van parked, full of boutique beer and candles lit the way into the night. It was Beautiful. I was very lucky to have been able to make the cake for such a special and heartwarming day...(dedicated to their Chihuahua... Biggiesmalls)  I just hope my photos give you the slightest idea how wonderful this day was. (even those out of focus...don't judge me I'm still learning!)

To Love and Life, Erin and Lucas.

 Hope you all enjoyed,
